1. Who these terms are for

CompCeiling is a business tool for licensed motor-vehicle dealers and their staff (“you”). By creating an account you confirm you are using the service for business purposes, not as a consumer.

2. What CompCeiling provides — and what it does not

CompCeiling provides informational market summaries and directional estimates: aggregated retail asking-price statistics, sample sizes and confidence indicators, rules-based reconditioning cost estimates, and a calculator that combines the numbers you choose. It is notan appraisal, a vehicle inspection, a repair quote, professional or financial advice, or a guarantee of any vehicle’s value, condition, or resale outcome.

Market data reflects asking prices scraped from public dealer listings, not sold prices. Reconditioning estimates are seeded from industry-average benchmarks and carry wide ranges. You are the professional: inspect the vehicle, verify the numbers, and make your own purchasing decisions.

3. No reliance; limitation of liability

You agree that purchase, trade-in, and pricing decisions are made at your own risk and based on your own judgment. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CompCeiling and its operator are not liable for any loss (including lost profits, vehicle losses, or business interruption) arising from use of, or reliance on, the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the three (3) months before the claim arose. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

4. Accounts and acceptable use

Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. One free trial per dealership account. You may not scrape, resell, redistribute, or systematically extract the service’s data, share logins across rooftops, or use the service to build a competing product.

5. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

Paid plans bill automatically in CAD through our payment processor (Helcim), plus applicable taxes (e.g., HST), on the cadence you choose (monthly or annual). You can cancel anytime from your Account page (or by emailing support@compceiling.com): cancellation stops future billing and your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account reverts to the free tier. Fees are generally non-refundable; if you believe a charge was made in error, you may request a refund within thirty (30) days of that charge, which we will consider at our discretion. Lookup allowances reset each billing period and do not roll over.

6. Data sources

Market statistics are derived from publicly listed vehicle information. We present aggregates only and do not identify individual sellers or listings in the service.

7. Changes and termination

We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be posted with a new “last updated” date, and continued use constitutes acceptance. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
